In a recently released statement, Habitat for Humanity announced that it has partnered with exterior-building-products-manufacturer Ply Gem Industries and country music star Alan Jackson in launching a new initiative to assist low-income families build homes. Through the multiyear Home for Good Project, Ply Gem will donate more than $1 million in building products that will be used to help construct 300 houses.
Jackson will serve as the program’s ambassador, and his song “You Can Always Come Home” will be used to promote the project. In addition to providing building materials, Ply Gem will join Jackson in raising awareness of the Home for Good Project through social media and other advertising campaigns.
